Benifits of Ascension
Restructuring your city:
Ascending clears out more spaces for your City to grow. After Ascending, players will automatically have a the new City Center building. The City Center combines 7 of your old Cities least used buildings ( Workshop, Blacksmith, Stable, Storehouse, Relief Station, Tavern and Guardian) into one, effectively providing 7 new slots to build on.
Free level 12 buildings and fields:
After Ascending, your Workshop, Blacksmith, Stable, Storehouse, Relief Station and Tavern are automatically scaled up to level 12! Regardless of the level they were before.
You will also get a new building for resources- The Grove (Druid) / The Factory (Fey) / The Countryside (Briton). The new building offers a completely new way to generate Resources. At level 1 Ascension players will receive 45 points in which to distribute toward resources in the new Grove Building. Each point in a resource slot generates the same resources a level 12 Resource building would! With 45 points to allocate the first time you Ascend, that's 45 level 12 resource buildings available to you. On top of that, each time you Ascend, you’ll receive an additional 5 Resource points to allocate and boost your resource generation even higher!
Blessings:
A myriad of new bonuses in a new system available at each level of Ascension. Blessings are arranged in both Major and Minor functions. Major Blessing offer up some of the most powerful buffs in the game, providing massive bonuses to March speed and Upkeep and other features. Minor blessings, on the other hand, will still provide adequate and effective bonuses to features like Throne Room Item find.

More population, faster troop training speeds, and more, bigger Marches each time you Ascend.
